1. Scope
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the website debiaslab.com (the “Website”), operated by Dr. Nina Weber, Einzelunternehmen, trading as Debias (“we”, “us”, “Debias”). Our full contact details are in the imprint.
The Website is informational. We do not sell products or services directly through the Website. Engagements such as research, consulting, and workshops are agreed and contracted separately, on terms specific to each engagement. These Terms and Conditions do not govern those engagement contracts.
2. Acceptance
By accessing or using the Website, you accept these Terms and Conditions. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Website.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates take effect when they are published on this page. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. If you continue to use the Website after an update, you accept the updated Terms.

• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Website beyond what is permitted by our `robots.txt`
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting us
We reserve the right to block access to the Website from IP addresses or sources that violate these rules.
4. Intellectual property
All content on the Website, including text, graphics, layouts, images, logos, code, and visual identity, is the property of Debias or used under licence. This content is protected by copyright, trademark, and related intellectual property laws.
You may:

5. Disclaimers
5.1 Informational nature
The content on the Website, including articles, guides, bias entries, and any other educational material, is provided for general informational purposes. It is not intended as, and should not be relied on as, professional advice (including legal, medical, psychological, financial, or business advice).
For specific decisions, you should consult a qualified professional. Acting on information from the Website is at your own discretion and risk.
5.2 No guarantees of accuracy
We compile content carefully and base it on peer-reviewed research where applicable. Despite this, we do not guarantee that all information is accurate, complete, or up to date at all times. Behavioural science evolves, and so does the body of evidence we draw on.
If you find an error, we would appreciate hearing about it at contact@debiaslab.com.
5.3 External links
The Website may link to external websites and resources. We do not endorse and have no control over the content or practices of those external sites. Visiting them is at your own discretion.
5.4 Service availability
We aim to keep the Website available and working correctly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Website at any time without prior notice.
6. Liability
This section applies subject to mandatory German law, in particular consumer protection rules where they apply.
We are liable without limitation for damage caused by intent or gross negligence, and for damage to life, body, or health.
For damage caused by simple negligence, we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations (Kardinalpflichten) – obligations whose fulfilment is necessary to use the Website as intended and on whose fulfilment you may reasonably rely. In such cases, our liability is limited to typical, foreseeable damage at the time of the breach.
We are not liable for:
• Decisions you make based on content from the Website (see section 5.1)
• Indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including lost profits or reputational harm
• Service interruptions, technical failures, or security incidents that are not caused by our intent or gross negligence
• Damage caused by external factors beyond our reasonable control, including network or hosting failures, cyberattacks, government actions, or natural events
Statutory liability under the Produkthaftungsgesetz (German Product Liability Act) remains unaffected.
7. Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, you agree to receive periodic emails from us with content updates, product news, and subscriber-only offers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every newsletter email, or by contacting us at contact@debiaslab.com.
How we handle your data when you subscribe is described in our privacy policy.
8. Final provisions
8.1 Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you are a consumer with habitual residence in another EU member state, the protective provisions of that member state’s law apply where they cannot be derogated from by agreement.
8.2 Jurisdiction
To the extent permitted by law, the place of jurisdiction for disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions is Berlin, Germany.
8.3 Authoritative version
These Terms and Conditions are provided in German and English. In the event of any discrepancy or question of interpretation, the German version prevails.
8.4 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. The invalid provision will be replaced by a valid provision that comes closest to the intended economic and legal purpose.
8.5 No waiver
Failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or of our right to enforce it later.
8.6 Entire agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with our privacy policy and imprint, set out the agreement between you and us regarding your use of the Website. They do not govern engagement contracts (such as research, consulting, or workshop agreements), which are agreed separately.
